Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force, a registered NGO in the Republic of Zimbabwe, opened its headquarters in Harhare, Zimbabwe, in 2001 under the direction of Mr. Johnny Rodrigues, Founder and Chairman of the board. Since its inception as a local group it has expanded as a major player in Conservation of African Wildlife, most groups having left Zimbabwe in the late 90's, fleeing the country due to internal political strive. ZCTF stepped up the game to become one of the foremost watchdog groups in Zimbabwe, even stretching out with a global reach, networking with many other NGO's on the ground in Zimbabwe, to promote survial of many species of African Wildlife. In June 2008, ZCTF opened its U.S. Operations, located in San Antonio Texas under the Direction of CEO Karrie Kern. ZCTF works with hundreds of volunteers on the ground and abroad, growing on the faith and passion of all of those committed to saving Zimbabwe's wildlife. |

ZCTF supports and believes in Conservation for African Wildlife in their native habitats, for the survival of many endangered species and many others not currently listed on the redlist. The Zimbabwe Conservation Task force was formed in April 2001 by a group of Zimbabweans, who were desperately concerned about the unacceptable levels of poaching as well as the destruction of the environment due to the break down of law and order in Zimbabwe. During the " land grab " in Zimbabwe, it was not only agricultural land that was targeted. A large percentage of private game ranches and conservancies have also been confiscated, leaving the wildlife to the mercy of war vets. Several conservancies are now completely devoid of wildlife.
